SIPPER: HEATABLE LIQUID HANDLING SYSTEM

HIGHER PRECISION, HIGHER AUTOMATION OF YOUR FTIR ROUTINE ANALYSIS!

Sipper is an automated liquid handling system provided with an IR cell for your Spectrometer (any brand) and an optional Autosampler to automate sampling processes up to 20 vials. It has been designed for a variety of applications and suitable for many industries, implementing:

  • the analysis of less viscous samples, as beverage, alcohol and other non-alcoholic liquids (to trace sugar and other elements), pharmaceuticals preparations and dilutions.
  • the analysis of Newtonian liquids and oils by heating them during all the cycle becoming less viscous.

Stop manual sampling and repetitive and tedious operations! Sipper lends itself to any kind of delicate analysis, facilitating dilutions and procedures: you can use this IR accessory under the hood with solvents that you could not use before.

The system is designed for a variety of applications and follow international standards like FAMEs in Biodiesel (EN 14078 and ASTM D7371-07) and it is 21 CFR part 11 compliant.

Sipper is useful for…

Oils, fuels, petrochemical products

Wineries, distilleries for the analysis of alcoholic mixtures and their compounds

Pharmaceuticals preparations (liquids and viscous samples)

How the Sipper works?

The system is capable to set sampling, washing and drying procedures based on synchronized syringes to eliminate over pressure in the IR cell. During the last drying method, inert gas flow remove solvent residues through all the path preparing the whole accessory for the next sampling. Sipper enables easy and intuitive operations thanks to a personalized web-based software which conducts the analysis and automates spectra collection with your FTIR.

All procedures are automated through a touchscreen display with no need of any installation for Sipper and Autosampler. With the software it is possible to establish temperatures and all variables (viscosity, repetition, background, ect…) for methods.

Heatable points are: cell, transfer line, vials and valves. This technology design allows to the oily samples to be constantly heated within the circuit, ensuring the fastest and the cleanest analysis possible.

RedShift ready-to-use Sipper FTIR cells are: Transmission Flow Cell, ATR Cell and Peltier Cell.
